What Virtual Office are you working form? Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Where are you actually working from? North Pomfret, Vermont

What school are you attending, and year are you going into? Vermont Law School, Rising 3L

Why did you decided to go to law school?Law school had always been something that I was interested in growing up. I found passion for preserving the environment in undergrad and decided to combine the two.

What do you like to do when you are not working? Play Dungeons & Dragons, hike, and watch cooking shows

What might someone be surprised to know about you? I am a huge history buff, the period I am most knowledgeable about is colonial America/the founding of our nation.

What is your favorite skill that you have unrelated to what you do at Fair Shake? I can carry 6 drinks at once (I used to be a server).

What are you working on at Fair Shake? Currently a chart that lays out every public participation provision in every environmental law in Pennsylvania along with a brief description of the legislation and the statute of limitations to bring an action against someone in violation of it. I am also working under a couple of attorneys researching and writing memos for upcoming litigation.

What do you like most about working with Fair Shake? The positive, fun work environment and the ability to help individuals at such a small scale.

What is has surprised you about Fair Shake? Just how much everyone cares, how excited everyone is to be working here, and how passionate everyone is about helping their community.

What do you wish other people knew about our work? How much this firm takes the community into account when taking cases. Listening to everyone discuss in detail how this could potentially help the community and how that is the baseline for everything is refreshing.

Do you think the work you are doing is important? Why? Absolutely. Helping Fair Shake in any way makes me feel like I am helping the community. The more work I can take on the more the firm itself can take on, the more they can help everyone around them.

How did you first hear about Fair Shake? Through my career services, I looked through the website and immediately knew this was somewhere I’d want to apply to work.

How has this time at Fair Shake inspired you? It has inspired me to work hard for Pittsburgh area and has gotten me kind of attached to it, which is kind of funny because I’ve never been to the Pittsburgh area.
