This year we will be telling the story of Kelly’s Working Well Farm & Chagrin Valley School. Kelly’s Working Well Farm began in 2012 with the goal of creating a place where community members could come to learn about sustainable agriculture, make crafts using natural materials, and connect with animals and nature.

But what she calls sustainable others are calling dangerous and illegal. For the last year the farm has been entangled in an unwanted feud with the Bainbridge Township zoning and fire departments because the farms unconventional practices threaten our municipal planning codes. This discrepancy illustrates how living sustainably can be in direct conflict with the law and we think it's time we start talking about it! We invite you to join in a larger discussion of how we move towards a sustainable future where living simply off the land within a suburban and/or urban landscapes can be achieved.
